The criteria, rules and standards...

The Three Girls just wanted to lay out the rating system, rules and standards we will use for our various reviews.

First off, we are ONLY reviewing happy hours in Austin, Texas; and only happy hours that have both food and drink deals. It is important to keep this in mind because a place may have an amazing dinner menu, and yet be less than perfect at happy hour.

We will be using a thumbs up, down or neutral rating system. We will rate each dish, the drink specials and the overall experience of the happy hour itself. I believe the ratings themselves are fairly self-explanatory...but just in case: thumbs up mean we like it and would have that again; thumbs sideways (or neutral) means we are indifferent; thumbs down, we will never order that again! We will each individually rate dishes, and then together will give the overall happy hour experience one rating. We feel it is important to rate each dish separately, since we each have very distinct tastes. However, what is truly important to each of us is having a good time together, with some good food and cheap drinks thrown in - hence the final overall rating of the venue coming from the three of us together.

We have no doubt these criteria, rules, regulations and so on will change with time as we continue our project. We will keep you updated with those changes as they occur.

Cheers!
